Pack-Line West Inc. alleges companies failed to pay for equipment sent to Virginia

Contract 09

LOS ANGELES – A La Verne company alleges it wasn't paid for equipment provided for consumer produce products.

Pack-Line West Inc. filed a complaint on April 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against BrightFarms Inc., WDC Greenhouse LLC and CHI Greenhouse LLC alleging breach of contract and bad faith.

According to the complaint, the defendants contracted the plaintiff to provide packaging equipment to automate their packing methods at facilities in Virginia and Illinois.

"Defendants have failed to accept delivery and pay for the Virginia facility equipment and have refused to complete payment related to the Illinois facility notwithstanding acceptance of that equipment," the suit states.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for compensatory and punitive damages, attorney's fees, costs and interest. It is represented by Mark R. Haddon of Law Offices of Mark R. Haddon in La Verne.
