SAN DIEGO – A San Ysidro business is alleged to have sold counterfeit Ray-Ban and Oakley products.
Luxottica Group, S.P.A. and Oakley Inc. filed a complaint on May 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California against Obdulia S Jewelry; and Does 1-10 over alleged trademark infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that Obdulia S Jewelry has wrongfully imported, distributed and advertised counterfeit Ray-Ban and Oakley products.
The plaintiffs hold Obdulia S Jewelry responsible for allegedly using, promoting and otherwise advertising, distributing, selling and/or offering for sale counterfeit products with the knowledge and intent that such goods will be mistaken for the genuine products.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek award of applicable interest amounts, costs, disbursements and attorneys' fees, award of profits, damages and such other relief as may be just and proper.
