FRESNO – A man struck by a foul ball at a Fresno Grizzlies game alleges he suffered permanent vision damages.

Daniel Santillano filed a complaint on May 14 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Fresno Baseball Club LLC, doing business as Fresno Grizzlies, and Fresno Sports and Events LLC, doing business as Fresno Grizzlies, Fresno Sports Management LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 10, 2016, he was watching defendants' baseball game at Chuckchansi Park when he was hit in the eye by a foul ball traveling at a high rate of speed. The plaintiff claims the ball struck him in the eye and he did not see the ball coming because of poor lighting conditions and that there was no protective netting between his seat and the field.

As a result, Santillana alleges he suffered permanent damages to his vision, wage losses and pain and suffering.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for compensatory damages according to proof. He is represented by Jim A. Trevino of The Law Office of Jim A. Trevino in Fresno.
