San Francisco apartment tenants allege owner failed to repair mold and other issues

SAN FRANCISCO – Tenants of an Alvarado Street, San Francisco apartment allege the owners failed to repair issues at the premises.

Chloe Tschanz, Frida Ticehurst, Jessica Noble and Tyler Rivenbark filed a complaint on May 17 in the Superior Court of California - County of San Francisco against Audrey L. Spring, et al. alleging breach of implied warranty of habitability and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Feb. 1, 2017, they entered into a new rental agreement with defendants. They allege the defendants failed to provide and maintain the premises and that there were issues with black mold and other issues.

The plaintiffs allege the defendants failed to provide housing services required by contract or by state, county or local housing, health or safety laws.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek for general, special and punitive damages; declaratory and injunctive relief; costs of suit; interest; statutory penalties; such other and further relief as the court may deem proper.
