LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County woman alleges she was injured while flying first class on an airline because of hot drinks on an unsecured cart.
Tracy Michelle Christian filed a complaint on June 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Delta Airlines Inc., and Does 1-100 alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 7, 2016, while she was on an aircraft owned and operated by the defendant as a paying passenger, a cart with hot drinks was left unlocked and unattended and when the plane hit turbulence, it rolled or moved and caused hot drinks to spill on her.
The plaintiff holds Delta Airlines Inc. and Does 1-100 responsible because the defendants allegedly breached its duty of care owed to the plaintiff.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for general and special damages, interest, costs and expenses of suit, and further relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Michael M. Marzban of Law Offices of Cohen & Marzban in Encino.
