Driver in Tulare County crash allegedly was operating vehicle while intoxicated

FRESNO – A woman alleges a drunk driver caused a collision that injured her in Tulare County.

Kimberly Pastor filed a complaint on June 5 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Gabriel Gomez Acevedo and Jesus Acevedo Jr. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 31, 2016, she was passenger in a vehicle traveling on state Route 137 near the intersection in the Avenue 199/Road 36 in Tulare County when a BMW operated by defendant Gabriel Gomez Acevedo crashed into her vehicle. The suit states the vehicle operated by Gabriel Gomez Acevedo was owned by Jesus Acevedo Jr.

The suit states that Gabriel Gomez Acevedo was driving while under the influence of alcohol and without a valid driver's license at the time of the collision.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for compensatory and punitive damages. She is represented by Denis M. Delja of The Dunnion Law Firm in Monterey.
