Injured motorist alleges driver was under the influence of alcohol in Fresno County collision

FRESNO – A married couple is seeking damages from an allegedly intoxicated driver after a Fresno County collision.

Amario Partida and Karen Pelham filed a complaint on June 11 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Donnie Owen, Johnette Hawthorne and Does 1-20 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on June 26, 2016, Partida was stopped at a stop sign on De Wolf Avenue near Barstow Avenue in Fresno County when Owen's vehicle rear-ended his. Pelham, the plaintiff's wife, alleges she has suffered a loss of consortium because of the collision.

The plaintiffs hold Owen, Johnette Hawthorne and Does 1-20 responsible because Owen allegedly was operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendants for compensatory damages according to proof. They are represented by Jeffrey D. Bohn of Accident, Injury and Medical Malpractice Attorneys of California APC in Fresno.
