Child allegedly injured by dog in Fresno seeks damages from owners

FRESNO – A minor child and his guardians have filed suit against the owners of a dog they allege injured the child.

Conrado Villa III, a minor by and through his guardian ad litem Claudia Villa, and Conrado Villa-Amador filed a complaint on June 14 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Joe Andrade, Janet Villa, Yanet Villa and Does 1 to 30 alleging negligence and strict liability.

According to the complaint, on April 16, 2017, Conrado Villa III was allegedly attacked by a white and brown bulldog that was legally owned and/or kept by the defendants in Fresno, causing him serious physical injuries. The suit states the incident was also witnessed by minor plaintiff's father, Conrado Villa II, causing him serious emotional distress. 

The plaintiffs judgment for compensatory damages according to proof. They are represented by Jesse R. Fretwell of Law Office of Darryl B. Freedman Inc. in Fresno.
