Community Regional Medical Center alleged to have failed to warn of liquid that caused woman to fall

FRESNO – A woman alleges she was injured at a Fresno medical facility because of a liquid on the floor.

Ymelda Cervantes-Robles filed a complaint on Aug. 7 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Community Regional Medical Center and Does 1 to 100 alleging negligence and premises liability.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 16, 2016, Cervantes-Robles was walking back from the restroom to the cafeteria at defendant's premises when slipped and fell on a puddle of a clear liquid. She alleges she sustained extreme pain to her left knee was unable stand or move due to the pain. 

The plaintiff holds Community Regional Medical Center responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to warn and post of the dangerous condition of the premises and failed to maintain, manage and safely operate the premises.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for compensatory damages according to proof. She is represented by Edward C. Valdez of Law Offices of Valdez & Valdez APC in Fresno.
