FRESNO – A patron of a Fresno auto dealership alleges he was injured in a fall because of water on the floor.
Sergio S. Rodriguez filed a complaint on Aug. 16 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Lithia Hyundai of Fresno and Does 1 to 50 alleging premises liability and negligence.
According to the complaint, on Sept. 16, 2016, Rodriguez was at defendant's store to shop for vehicle when he slipped and fell because of a large puddle of water after walking out of the finance department office and was injured.
The plaintiff holds Lithia Hyundai of Fresno responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to warn of the danger presented by the presence of the slippery substance on the floor.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for compensatory and actual damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of suit, and for such other relief that the court may deem just and proper.
