FRESNO – A man injured in a collision in Fresno is seeking damages from a Manteca motorist who allegedly struck his vehicle.
Jose Gabriel Martinez filed a complaint on Sept. 6 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Alan Edward Saylor and Does 1-50 alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, on Sept. 17, 2016, Martinez was driving his car on Highway 99 northbound just north of Ashlan Avenue in Fresno when his vehicle was struck by defendant Saylor's vehicle as defendant made a lane change.
The plaintiff alleges the collision caused him to lose control of his vehicle and hit the exterior wall of Highway 99. As a result, Martinez claims he sustained bodily injuries that prevented from fully attending to his occupation and incurred medical expenses.
The plaintiff holds Saylor responsible because the defendant allegedly breached his duty to operate his vehicle in a reasonable manner.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for general and special damages, prejudgment interest, costs of suit, and for such other and further relief as the court may deem just and proper. He is represented by Christopher B. Adamson and Alan A. Ahdoot of Adamson Ahdoot LLP in Los Angeles.
