San Joaquin County residents alleged to have consumed alcohol prior to crash in county

STOCKTON – Two California residents allege San Joaquin County residents were intoxicated at the time of an auto accident in the county.

Ruben Diaz Estrada and Maria Guadalupe filed a complaint on Oct. 4 in the San Joaquin Superior Court against Manuj Vaid, Desh Vaid, Sapna Vaid and Does 1 through 20 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 8, 2016, on Kettleman Lane in San Joaquin County, the plaintiffs were injured in a collision with the defendants' vehicle. The plaintiffs allege the defendants were intoxicated while operating their vehicle and that the driver had a suspended license.

The plaintiffs allege they have suffered a loss of earnings and earning capacity as a result of the collision.

The plaintiffs seek judgment for general and punitive damages, loss of earnings, property damage, attorney's fees, costs of suit, and such other and further relief as the court may deem just and proper. They are represented by W. Russell Fields of Law Offices of W. Russell Fields in Sacramento.
