Honeywell and Kaiser Gypsum named in asbestos injury lawsuit

SAN FRANCISCO — Inez Seals filed a complaint on Oct. 4, in the San Francisco Superior Court, against Honeywell International Inc., Kaiser Gypsum Co. Inc. and Kelly-Moore Paint Co. Inc.,et al., alleging that the defendants designed defective products under California Consumer Safety Law.

The products alleged contained asbestos, causing serious disease and/or death, according to the lawsuit.

Inez Seals has used, handled or been exposed to asbestos and asbestos-containing products allegedly caused her breathing difficulties, pleura disease, asbestosis, other lung damages and/or cancer, according to the lawsuit. 

Plaintiff claims she was not informed of the dangers of using the defendants' products. The plaintiff allege the defendants failed to adequately warn the public of the potential risks of asbestos and asbestos-containing products.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for general damages, medical and related expenses, costs of suit, exemplary or punitive damages, and such other and further relief as the court may deem just and proper.
