FRESNO — A motorist has filed a lawsuit, after her car allegedly was struck while traveling on Mountain View Avenue.
Julia Mendez filed a complaint on Oct. 1, in the Fresno County Superior Court, against Kristina Ortega, Jesse Ortega Jr., Maribel Ortega and Margarito Martinez Rios for alleged violation of the California Vehicle Code.
According to the complaint, on May 20, Julia Mendez claims her vehicle was struck by defendants' vehicle while traveling west on Mountain View Avenue. Plaintiff claims defendant Kristina Ortega allegedly ran a red light traffic and struck her vehicle.
The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly operating a vehicle in a reckless manner.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for compensatory damages in excess of $25,000, plus costs of suit, and for such relief as is fair, just, and equitable. She is represented by Bridget C. Dunnion of The Dunnion Law Firm in Monterey.
