Tractor-trailer driver seeks damages over Fresno rear-end collision

FRESNO – A tractor-trailer driver is seeking damages from another tractor-trailer driver over a collision on a state highway in Fresno.

William L. Vanhorn filed a complaint on Oct. 9 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Juan D. Medrano alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 11, 2016, the plaintiff was stopped in traffic on state Route 99 in Fresno in a tractor-trailer. The suit states the defendant, who was also operating a tractor-trailer, failed to slow down and collided with the rear of Vanhorn's vehicle. Vanhorn alleges he was injured in the accident.

The plaintiff holds Medrano responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently and carelessly managed and operated his vehicle.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for compensatory damages according to proof. He is represented by James P. Frantz of Frantz Law Group APLC in Fresno.
