Lawsuits

SAN FRANCISCO – A motorist alleges a malfunctioning traffic light at a San Francisco intersection caused a collision.

Cynthia Jung Lee filed a complaint on Oct. 12 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Guihua Zeng, the city and county of San Francisco and Does 1-50 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 28, 2017, she was traveling westbound in her 2006 Pontiac automobile along the intersection of Fulton and Stanyan streets in San Francisco when a vehicle owned, maintained and operated by the Zeng collided with plaintiff's motor vehicle. As a result, the plaintiff alleges she suffered injuries to the head, neck, arms, chest and back, experienced severe shock to the nerves and nervous system, and endured pain and suffering.

The plaintiff alleges the traffic light at the intersection had been malfunctioning.

The plaintiff holds Zeng, the city and county of San Francisco and Does 1-50 responsible because the municipal defendants allegedly failed to warn the public of the dangerous condition due to the malfunctioning traffic light and created a substantial risk of injury and Zeng alleged negligently and carelessly operated the vehicle.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendants for general damages, medical and related expenses, property damages, loss of wages, costs of suit and further relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Ronald P. Schneider of Law Offices of Ronald P. Schneider PC in San Francisco.
