SAN FRANCISCO – An Alameda County resident alleges she was misclassified by her former employer and is seeking reimbursement for expenses.

Consuelo Lopez-Robbins filed a complaint on behalf of herself and all aggrieved employees on Oct. 10 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against ASCN Inc., also known as Stylebee, and Does 1-100 alleging violation of state labor codes.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff worked for the defendant as a stylist from January 2016 to March 2018. She alleges she was misclassified as an independent contractor and was not reimbursed for work-related expenditures.

The plaintiff holds ASCN Inc. and Does 1-100 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide plaintiff with compliant and accurate itemized wage statements and willfully misclassified her employment status.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant for reimbursement of work-related expenses, wage statement penalty, attorney's fees, costs, and other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Adam Rose of Law Office of Robert L. Star in Calabasas.
