STOCKTON – A debt buyer alleges a San Joaquin County resident owes nearly $3,000 on an account.
Portfolio Recovery Associates LLC filed a complaint on Oct. 25 in the San Joaquin Superior Court against David J. Reyes citing account stated.
According to the complaint, on Jan. 1, 2014, Portfolio Recovery Associates LLC purchased credit account of defendant Reyes from Capital One Bank. The suit states the last payment on the account was made in October 2015.
The plaintiff claims despite issuing billing statements, the defendant allegedly has failed to pay a balance due of $2,928.10.
The plaintiff seeks judgment for the current balance presently due and owing of $2,928.10, plus costs of suit; and any such other relief as the curt may deem just and proper. It is represented by Michael S. Hunt, Janalie Henriques and Emily Collins of Hunt & Henriques in San Jose.
