Wrongful term 14

FRESNO – An African-American man alleges he was retaliated against and terminated by his employer for filing a discrimination complaint.

Greg Williams filed a complaint on Nov. 2 in the Fresno County Superior Court against GSF Properties Inc., and Does 1-100 alleging discrimination, retaliation and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 2, 2016, he was terminated from his employment as a maintenance technician at defendant's Park Grove Apartment Complex in Fresno. He alleges he was terminated in retaliation because he reported illegal activities and because he rejected a female supervisor's advances.

The suit states he was reinstated a few weeks later and assigned to a different location in Fresno and he filed a complaint with the defendant's district manager over allegations of discrimination. The suit states he was terminated Nov. 21, 2016.

The plaintiff holds GSF Properties Inc. and Does 1-100 responsible because the defendants allegedly acted with malice and reckless disregard for plaintiff's rights and retaliated against him by terminating his employment.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant, punitive or exemplary damages, injunctive relief, costs of suit, and other relief that is just and proper. He is represented by Dean B. Gordon of Law Office of Dean B. Gordon in Fresno.
