Woman alleges driver who rear-ended vehicle on I-80 was intoxicated

SAN FRANCISCO – A woman alleges she was injured as a passenger in an auto accident allegedly caused by an intoxicated driver.

Leticia Morgan filed a complaint on Nov. 8 in the San Francisco Superior Court against Julio Munoz alleging malice, fraud and oppression.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 10, 2016, Morgan was a passenger in a vehicle that was approaching the Bay Bridge on Interstate 80 when defendant Munoz allegedly collided into the rear portion of her vehicle.

The plaintiff holds Munoz responsible because the defendant allegedly intended to drive his vehicle intoxicated and allowed himself to drive upon the highways of San Francisco County, which resulted in injuries to the plaintiff.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for compensatory and punitive damages according to proof. She is represented by R. Nicholas Haney in Benicia.
