SAN FRANCISCO – The former chief financial officer of a San Francisco County company alleges he was wrongfully terminated because of his disability.

Mark Sue filed a complaint on Nov. 8 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Denizen Financial Inc. and Does 1-10 alleging disability discrimination and wrongful termination.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff began working for the defendant as its chief financial officer in April. Prior to beginning his employment with the defendant, the plaintiff's leg was fractured in a car accident and he needed surgery in July. He alleges the surgery caused complications that needed several subsequent medical visits.

The plaintiff alleges he was terminated in August.

The plaintiff holds Denzen Financial Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to accommodate his disability and failed to engage in an interactive process.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for general, special and punitive damages; interest; costs of suit; and other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Cliff Palefsky and Scott M. Stillman of McGuinn, Hillsman & Palefsky in San Francisco.
