SAN FRANCISCO – Three former tenants of a San Francisco property allege they were wrongfully evicted from the unit earlier this year.

Anju Goto, Tomoko Goto and Yukihiro Goto filed a complaint on Nov. 15 in the San Francisco Superior Court against Joseph A. Vo and Does 1 through 10 alleging negligence and wrongful eviction.

According to the complaint, beginning on June 13, 2007, the plaintiffs were residential tenants at defendants' 32nd Avenue, San Francisco property. The suit states Vo sent them an email in February stating that they needed to move out by August because his daughter planned to move into it. The plaintiffs vacated the unit in June.

The plaintiffs hold Vo responsible because the defendant allegedly demanded they vacate their unit without just cause and failed to provide a proper notice to vacate.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment for statutory and punitive damages and such other and further relief as the court may deem just and proper. They are represented by Jacquelin Ravencroft of Tobener Ravenscroft LLP in San Francisco.
