OROVILLE – Two individuals allege they were injured when their vehicle collided with a cow in an unincorporated area of Butte County.

Justin Balteirra and Michael Christensen filed a complaint on Nov. 13 in the Butte Superior Court against Robert Naphan and Does 1 to 25 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 15, 2016, the plaintiffs were traveling in their vehicle on southbound state Route 70 in Butte County when their vehicle collided with a cow that was owned by the defendants.

The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently owned, possessed and/or controlled the property near the route to allow the cow to escape.

The plaintiffs seek judgment for compensatory damages according to proof. They are represented by Richard H. Dalrymple III of Law Offices of Larry S. Buckley in Chico.
