Sierra Agricultural Transportation alleges Fresno Transport failed to deliver freight as promised

FRESNO – A company alleges it had to pay its customer for a loss of freight because the company hired to deliver it failed to do so.

Sierra Agricultural Transportation Inc. filed a complaint on Nov. 26 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Fresno Transport Inc. and Does 1-10 alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff entered into an agreement with Fresno Transport on Jan. 1 to transport freight and that the defendant promised to deliver the freight by Jan. 23. The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to deliver the freight as promised and the plaintiff had to pay its customer for the loss.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for the principal sum of $33,917.75, interest, attorney’s fees, costs of suit and further relief as the court may deem just. It is represented by Gary A. Bemis of Law Offices of Gary A. Bemis APC in Riverside.
