FRESNO – An insurance company is seeking subrogation from a Fresno County man over an auto accident in Fresno.

State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. filed a complaint on Dec. 5 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Armand Covarrubias and Does 1-40 seeking subrogation.

According to the complaint, on March 5, 2017, plaintiff's insured was involved in an accident near North Van Ness Boulevard and East Shields Avenue in Fresno caused by the defendant.

The plaintiff alleges it performed its obligation by providing insurance coverage under the policy in the sum of $38,960.85 to its insured.

The plaintiff holds Covarrubias and Does 1-40 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed and refused and continue to fail and refuse to pay the sum of $38,960.85 as subrogation.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for the sum of $38,960.85, plus prejudgment interest, costs of suit and such other and further relief as the court may deem just and proper. It is represented by Richard L. Mahfouz II and Andrew B. Dorr of Clerkin, Sinclair & Mahfouz LLP in San Diego.
