SAN FRANCISCO – A patron of San Francisco bar is seeking damages from the owner and operator of the premises after he was stabbed.

Sergio Gonzales filed a complaint on Dec. 6 in the San Francisco Superior Court against Maria Luz Cabrera, individually and doing business as Tikal; LS Ventures LLC; and Does 1 to 25 alleging assault and battery, negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 27, 2018, he arrived at Tikal and stood at the bar next to his friend when he was attacked by a man with a knife and stabbed in the back. The plaintiff claims defendant Cabrera did not call the police or do anything to stop the attack.

The plaintiff holds Cabrera, LS Ventures LLC and Does 1 to 25 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to make the premises safe and failed to summon aid.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for general and special damages, costs of suit, interest, and further relief as the court may deem proper. He is represented by Susan F. Reyes of Law Offices of Susan F. Reyes in San Francisco.
