Lawsuits

SAN FRANCISCO – A vehicle driver and passenger allege they were injured when their vehicle was rear-ended by a Lyft driver in San Francisco.

Sheryl Ann Louis and Christopher Joseph Isaak filed a complaint on Dec. 6 in the San Francisco Superior Court against Jhonny Pedro Ortiz Gamara, also known as Johnny Gamarra, and Lyft Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 12, 2016, the plaintiffs were traveling northbound on Valenica Street in San Francisco when defendant Lyft driver Gamara rear-ended their vehicle. The plaintiffs allege the airbags in their vehicle deployed and they sustained injuries.

The plaintiffs hold Gamara and Lyft Inc. responsible because the Gamara allegedly was at fault in the accident and Lyft allegedly negligent in investigating the background of Gamara.
