FRESNO – A father and a guardian of a woman in her 30s have filed a suit against a Fresno County hospital over allegations she was administered the wrong medical and suffered injuries.

Jessica A. Rose, by and through her guardian ad litem, Danneal E. Richards; and Darrald E. Waterman filed a complaint on Dec. 14 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Saint Agnes Medical Center and Does 1 -20 alleging medical negligence.

According to the complaint, on July 12, 2018, Rose presented to the defendant's hospital with nonspecific chest pain. She was evaluated in the emergency room and sent home but returned the same day with complaints of continued chest tightness, the suit states.

The suit states Rose was admitted and was given Levophed instead of Azithromycin, causing catecholamine-induced cardiomyopathy followed by cardiac arrest and cardiogenic shock. As a result, Rose allegedly sustained severe injuries and damages.

The plaintiffs seek judgment for general and non-economic damages, medical expenses, all losses incurred, costs, prejudgment interest, and such other further relief as the court deems just and proper. They are represented by Richard C. Watters of Miles, Sears & Eanini in Fresno.
