SAN FRANCISCO – An insurance company is seeking nearly $19,000 from two individuals over an auto accident.

Amica Mutual Insurance Co. filed a complaint on Dec. 14 in the San Francisco Superior Court against Layton J. Haynes, Sabahat Sarfaraz and Does 1 to 10 seeking recovery of damages.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 14, 2016, the plaintiff's insured, Robert Crown, was injured in a collision with Haynes, who was operating a vehicle owned by Sarfaraz. The plaintiff alleges it timely provided motorist coverage amounting to $19,437.71 for the total costs of damages and it has demanded that the defendants pay the same.

The plaintiff holds Haynes, Sarfaraz and Does 1 to 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed and refused to pay the amount.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for the sum of $19,437.71 together with interest rate of 7 percent for the sum of $5,000, plus cost of suit, and such other and further relief the court deems just. They are represented by Robert A. Wilks in Santa Ana.
