Amica Mutual Insurance seeks more than $8,000 from driver

SAN FRANCISCO – An insurance company is seeking damages from a driver over property damages allegedly incurred in a San Francisco collision.

Amica Mutual Insurance Co. filed a complaint on Jan. 2 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Porscha N. Stewart and Does 1-5 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 7, 2016, the defendant struck a vehicle owned by the plaintiff's insured in San Francisco. The plaintiff alleges its insured's property sustained damages of more than $8,000.

The plaintiff holds Stewart and Does 1-5 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay it the full amount of damages sustained by its insured.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendants for property damages in the amount of $8,781.62, costs of suit, interest, and further relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Susan M. Benson of Benson Legal APC in Encino.
