Shopper at Fresno Target alleges milk on floor caused fall

FRESNO – A San Bernardino County woman alleges she was injured while shopping at Fresno store because of milk on the floor.

Kalyn Garcia filed a complaint on Jan. 7 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Target Corp. and Does 1-50 alleging negligence and premises liability.

According to the complaint, on June 11, 2018, Garcia was lawfully on defendants’ premises in Fresno when she slipped and fell due a trail of milk that was left on defendants’ shopping floor. As a result, the plaintiff alleges she was severely injured and needed medical attention.

The plaintiff holds Target Corp. and Does 1-50 responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to warn and/or repair, remedy the dangerous condition and failed to inspect and maintain to keep premises safe for all customers.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for general, special and incidental damages, prejudgment interest, costs of suit, loss of earnings, and such other and further relief as the court deems just and proper.
