SAN FRANCISCO – A pedestrian is seeking damages from a driver over a collision in San Francisco.

Natasha Sommerfeld filed a complaint on Jan. 4 in the San Francisco Superior Court against Robert Bentley Hughes and Does 1 through 100 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 13, 2018, Sommerfeld was walking northbound in the crosswalk on Dolores Street at its intersection with 15th Street in San Francisco when she was struck by defendant Hughes' vehicle. She alleges she sustained a broken wrist, bruised tailbone and fractured radius as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Hughes responsible because defendant allegedly negligently drove, operated, maintained, owned, entrusted, serviced and controlled so as to cause it to strike and collide with plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for general and special damages, prejudgment interest, costs of suit and for such other and further relief as the court may deem proper. She is represented by Spencer J. Pahlke of Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger in San Francisco.
