SAN FRANCISCO – A woman alleges an attorney and a San Francisco law firm gave her incorrect and incompetent advice.
Mary Ellen Petroni filed a complaint on Jan. 29 in the San Francisco Superior Court against Niesar & Vestal LLC, Gerald V. Niesar, Jeannie M. Darrah and Does 1 through 100 alleging professional negligence and other counts.
According to the complaint, on June 2014, Petroni retained the defendants to represent her and to protect her interests regarding her business and financial matters, including her assets held within the Petroni Family Trust and Petroni Vineyard LLC.
However, the plaintiff alleges during defendants' period of representation, they gave incorrect and incompetent advice about business and financial matters, failed to meet deadlines, and advised her to enter into agreements with third parties that were not in her best interests.
The plaintiff seeks judgment for special and consequential damages, disgorgement, costs of suit, attorney's fees and for such other and further relief as the court may deem proper and just. She is represented by Paul A. Frassetto of Frassetto Law Offices in San Francisco.
