SAN FRANCISCO – A San Francisco County man alleges a chiropractor failed to order diagnostic studies to rule out underlying conditions during treatment.
Sean A. Rashti filed a complaint on Jan. 28 in the San Francisco Superior Court against Mehran Golchehreh, Family Chiropractic Clinic, Allied Professionals' Insurance Services and Does 1 to 10 alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, on Jan. 17, 2018, Rashti employed defendants to examine, diagnose and perform any necessary procedures in the treatment for a left neck pain that was the result of a motor vehicle accident.
He alleges he learned Feb. 18, 2018, when a CT scan was done by an orthopedic surgeon, of a spinal process fracture.
The plaintiff holds Golchehreh, Family Chiropractic Clinic, Allied Professionals' Insurance Services and Does 1 to 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to advise and warn of him of the possible consequences and dangers involved in the examination, diagnosis and care and treatment they subjected him to and failed to order new diagnostic studies to rule out severe underlying conditions.
The plaintiff seeks judgment for general damages, interest according to law, costs of action, and any other and further relief that the court considers proper. He is representing himself.
