OROVILLE – A woman alleges she was injured in a fall at a Chico fitness center caused by liquid left on a hallway floor.

Tammy Moss filed a complaint on Feb. 8 in the Butte Superior Court against JSA FIT LP, doing business as Orangetheory Fitness, and Does 1 through 50 alleging premises liability and general negligence

According to the complaint, on Feb. 21, 2017, Ross was at defendants' fitness center walking down a hallway to a locker room when she slipped on a liquid on the floor, causing her to fall. She alleges she needed surgical intervention for her injuries.

The plaintiff holds JSA FIT LP responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to correct the condition or warn of it.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for general damages, medical expenses, prejudgment interest, costs of suit and for such other and further relief as the court may deem proper. She is represented by Todd E. Slaughter of Reiner, Slaughter & Frankel LLP in Redding.
