Car accident 07

FRESNO – A driver is seeking damages from a Fresno County woman over allegations she failed to yield and caused a head-on collision.

Hilda De La Fuente filed a complaint on Feb. 6 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Sharon Just Martin and Does 1-20 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 26, 2017, she was traveling in her 2012 Honda Accord at an intersection when Martin failed to yield to oncoming traffic and caused a head-on collision with the plaintiff's vehicle, pushing her vehicle into a traffic pole.

As a result, the plaintiff alleges she suffered severe and painful injuries including headaches, neck pain, cervical disc extrusions and protrusions, cord compression, back pain, lumbar disc bulging, radiculopathy, pain, mental suffering, shock and incurred medical and incidental expenses as a result of the accident.

The plaintiff holds Martin and Does 1-20 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay attention to traffic and keep a proper lookout for other vehicles, and failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants for non-economic/general damages, expenses, loss of financial support, costs of suit, prejudgment interest and further relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Christopher C. Watters of Miles, Sears & Eanni in Fresno.
