OROVILLE – A Chico man is alleged to owe more than $5,000 to a debt buyer.

Autovest LLC filed a complaint on Feb. 11 in the Butte Superior Court against Derrick Bond alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 23, 2015, Autovest purchased a debt allegedly owed by the defendant for an auto loan. The plaintiff alleges the date of default is Feb. 13, 2015, and the balance at charge off is $5,029.96.

The plaintiff holds Bond responsible because the defendant allegedly failed, refused and continues to fail and refuse to pay the sum or any portion thereof.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for the principal sum of $5,029.06 with interest, plus attorney's fees, cost of suit, and for such other and further relief as the court may deem just and equitable. It is represented by Ron Chow of Gardener, Riechmann & Chow in Orange.
