Scooter rider alleges driver ran over foot at San Francisco intersection

SAN FRANCISCO – A scooter rider alleges a motorist ran over his foot while he was stopped at a light in San Francisco.

Michael Garrison filed a complaint on Feb. 11 in the San Francisco Superior Court against Matt Cole alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 13, 2017, Garrison was riding a scooter and was stopped at a red light on Lombard Street in San Francisco when defendant Cole allegedly struck him, running over his foot. As a result, the plaintiff alleges he sustained serious injuries and incurred hospital and medical expenses. 

The plaintiff holds Cole responsible because the defendant allegedly was negligent in the ownership, operation and control of his vehicle.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for compensatory damages of more than $25,000, plus costs of suit and such relief as is fair, just, and equitable. He is represented by Gunter Mihaescu of Law Office of Gunter Mihaescu in Oakland.
