Damages sought from dog owners over alleged attack in Fresno County

FRESNO – A woman is seeking damages from two dog owners after the animal allegedly attacked her while she was on public property in Fresno County.

Cristine A. Proctor filed a complaint on Feb. 13 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Jerry Henry, Delia Henry and Does 1-100 alleging general negligence and strict liability.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 29, 2018, while she was lawfully on a public property near 2739 N. Leonard Ave., Fresno County, the defendants' dog attacked and injured her. She alleges she had to undergo rabies treatment as a result.

The plaintiff holds Jerry Henry, Delia Henry and Does 1-100 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to control their dog.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants for compensatory and punitive damages, costs of suit and other relief as is fair and just. She is represented by Todd B. Barsotti of Todd B. Barsotti APLC in Fresno.
