FRESNO – A Food Maxx customer alleges she fell because of a puddle in the store caused by a leaky roof.

Ronnette Moore filed a complaint on Jan. 11 in the Fresno County Superior Court against Save Mart Supermarkets, doing business as Food Maxx, alleging premises liability and negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 26, 2017, she was at defendant's store at 1177 Fresno St., Fresno and was waiting in the self-checkout line to use the registers when she slipped and fell because of a puddle on the floor from a leak in the roof.

The plaintiff alleges the puddle was not readily apparent to customers and the condition should have been known to or was known to store management.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant for compensatory damages, costs of suit and other relief as is fair and just. She is represented by Kevin G. Little of Law Office of Kevin G. Little in Fresno.
