Congratulations to partner Melinda Haag for being named to the Daily Journal’s list of top white collar lawyers in California. Melinda has previously been recognized by the publication on their Top Women Lawyers list and earlier this year was named one of the state’s top trade secrets lawyers.
In this feature (subscription required), Melinda’s white collar work on Orrick teams for Wells Fargo’s former general counsel and a former KPMG executive were among the major matters earning her a spot as a top white collar lawyer. Melinda in January was also part of an Orrick team that secured an acquittal in a high-profile federal trade secrets prosecution against former Fitbit employees.
Melinda’s background as a former United States Attorney for the Northern District of California was also highlighted by the Daily Journal. She told the publication she expects the U.S. Justice Department to be more focused on criminal justice reform in the next administration.
