SAN FRANCISCO - San Francisco Plastic Surgery is accused of failing to accommodate disabled customers, according to a lawsuit filed on March 26 in the San Francisco County Superior Court.

The accusation comes from plaintiff Megan D. Erasmus, a deaf woman who says she visited the defendant's website for the San Francisco Clinic operated by Dr. Karen Horton.

Erasmus was browsing the site in an attempt to learn more information about breast augmentations, but the plaintiff was deterred from learning any more about the clinic or its offerings because its series of informational videos did not offer closed captioning, the suit claims.

The clinic is charged with violating the Unruh Civil Rights Act and violating the Unfair Competition Law, which are subject to at least $4,000 in civil damages for each violation.

Erasmus is represented by the Center for Disability Access.
