Elba Vazquez and Francisco Gonzalez have filed a lawsuit against Dave's Building Maintenance, Inc., alleging negligence after an incident that left Vazquez injured. The complaint was filed on October 11, 2024, in the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco. The plaintiffs claim that the negligence of the defendant and its employee resulted in significant injuries to Vazquez.

According to the complaint, Elba Vazquez was working as a salesperson at Saint Laurent in San Francisco when she slipped and fell on wet stairs that had been mopped by an employee of Dave's Building Maintenance, Inc., identified only as "Enrique." The plaintiffs allege that Enrique failed to properly warn about the dangerous condition created by the wet stairs. As a result of this alleged negligence, Vazquez sustained injuries that have caused her ongoing physical and mental suffering. Her husband, Francisco Gonzalez, is also seeking damages for loss of consortium due to his wife's injuries.

The plaintiffs are seeking various forms of relief from the court. They are asking for non-economic damages for pain and suffering, economic damages for medical expenses and lost income, costs of suit, pre-judgment interest according to specific Civil Code sections, and any other relief deemed appropriate by the court. Additionally, Gonzalez seeks non-economic damages for loss of consortium.

The case is being handled by attorney Oliver E. Vallejo from The Vallejo Law Office. It has been assigned Case No. CGC-24-618908 in front of Judge Sahar Enayati at the Superior Court of California in San Francisco.
