Troutman Pepper and Partner Vaughn Morrison have been named among the 2024 Energy Storage Investment Awards finalists. The firm is up for recognition in the “Legal Advisory of the Year” and the “Project Finance Deal of the Year” categories, and Morrison is shortlisted for “Rising Star of the Year.”
The awards, hosted by Tamarindo, shine a light on the innovation, financing, project development, and asset management paving the way for energy storage within the energy transition. Winners will be announced at an awards gala dinner on December 3.
Troutman Pepper is listed among seven firms in the “Legal Advisory of the Year” category, which recognizes firms who have displayed a successful track record over the last 12 months by providing good legal stewardship to clients. The firm was also named a finalist in the “Project Finance Deal of The Year” for Troutman Pepper’s representation of UBS Asset Management, a large-scale asset manager with a presence in 23 markets, in connection with its role in a pioneering insurance structure aimed at promoting investment in clean energy. Morrison is among 10 individuals shortlisted in the “Rising Star of the Year” category, which recognizes professionals with five to 10 years of experience in the energy storage sector who are achieving great results and in doing so, are demonstrably moving the industry forward. Morrison represents financing parties, utility companies, and sponsors in the development, construction, financing, and operational management of, primarily, renewable energy projects. Having guided many projects through their life cycle, he offers clients uncommon foresight and acumen.
