A motor vehicle collision has led to a legal battle in San Francisco, as a local resident seeks justice for severe injuries sustained in the incident. Jalinda Shama’e Arnold filed a complaint on October 21, 2024, in the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco, against George Stathakopoulos and unnamed defendants referred to as DOES 1-100.

The case stems from an accident that occurred on November 11, 2022, at the intersection of Charter Oak Avenue and Industrial Street in San Francisco. Arnold claims that while she was driving her 2013 Ford Escape westbound at the intersection, Stathakopoulos negligently operated his truck in the same direction without due care, resulting in a collision with her vehicle. The complaint details that this negligence caused Arnold to suffer "severe, traumatic, debilitating, and permanent injuries" necessitating extensive medical treatment.

Arnold's lawsuit accuses Stathakopoulos and the unidentified defendants of negligence. She alleges that they failed to exercise reasonable care in owning, leasing, managing, maintaining, entrusting, operating, driving, and controlling the vehicle involved in the crash. According to Arnold's complaint: "DEFENDANTS and/or DOES 1-100 breached their duty...thereby causing bodily injury to PLAINTIFF." Furthermore, it is alleged that these parties were acting within their roles as agents or employees during the incident.

In her plea for justice, Arnold is seeking several forms of relief from the court. She demands general damages for past and future physical and emotional suffering exceeding jurisdictional limits. Additionally, she seeks special damages covering economic losses such as medical expenses and lost earnings both past and future. The plaintiff also requests prejudgment interest on these amounts along with coverage for legal costs incurred during litigation.

Representing Jalinda Shama’e Arnold are attorneys Alan A. Ahdoot and Christopher B. Adamson from Adamson Ahdoot LLP based out of Los Angeles. The case is filed under Case No.: CGC-24-619136 with Judge Sahar Enayati serving as Deputy Clerk overseeing proceedings.
