A former employee has launched a class-action lawsuit against a California-based ceramics company, alleging a series of labor law violations. The complaint was filed by Fe Plata Adriano on February 21, 2025, in the Superior Court of California for the County of Santa Clara against Modern Ceramics MFG, Inc., Christina Hoang, and unnamed defendants.

Fe Plata Adriano, who worked as an administrative assistant for Modern Ceramics MFG, Inc., claims that the company failed to pay all wages due, including minimum and overtime wages. The lawsuit alleges that these violations affected both current and former non-exempt employees over the past four years. Adriano accuses the company of various infractions such as not providing meal and rest periods as required by law, failing to issue accurate wage statements, and not reimbursing necessary business expenses. Furthermore, she contends that upon termination or resignation, employees were not paid their due wages promptly.

The plaintiff seeks compensation for unpaid wages, liquidated damages, restitution, interest, attorneys' fees, costs, and penalties under several sections of the California Labor Code. Additionally, Adriano is pursuing injunctive relief to prevent future violations by the defendants. The complaint also calls for an order requiring Modern Ceramics MFG to restore funds acquired through alleged unfair business practices.

Adriano's legal representation is provided by Zaghi Law A.P.C., with attorneys Brian Zaghi and Zachary T. Chrzan leading the case. The case ID is 25CV459669 and it will be presided over in Santa Clara County's Superior Court.
