Angela Espino has filed a lawsuit seeking justice for injuries sustained in a vehicular accident, allegedly caused by another driver's negligence. The complaint was filed on February 27, 2025, in the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara, against Phong Ly and Hannah Truong. Espino claims that she suffered significant personal injuries due to the defendants' actions.

According to the court documents, Angela Espino was involved in an accident on March 15, 2023, at the Almaden Expressway exit in San Jose. She alleges that while stopped at a red light and proceeding when it turned green, her vehicle was struck by Phong Ly's car after he ran a red light. The impact reportedly spun her vehicle onto the island of Almaden Expressway. Espino accuses Phong Ly of negligent driving and holds Hannah Truong accountable as the owner of the vehicle involved in the collision. "Defendants negligently entrusted, managed, maintained, drove and operated their vehicle," states the complaint.

Espino contends that this negligence resulted in severe physical injuries and emotional distress. The plaintiff believes these injuries may lead to permanent disability and have already caused her substantial mental anguish and physical suffering. Furthermore, she asserts that she incurred property damage to her vehicle along with rental expenses due to its loss of use following the incident.

In her legal pursuit for justice, Angela Espino seeks general damages according to proof presented during trial and any additional damages permitted by law. She also requests compensation for costs related to the suit and any other relief deemed appropriate by the court. The complaint highlights a demand exceeding $25,000 under unlimited jurisdiction.

Representing Angela Espino is attorney Jessie Serna from San Jose. The case is being reviewed under Case No: 25CV460002 at the Superior Court of California in Santa Clara County.
