A woman has taken legal action against her former attorney, alleging negligence and misconduct in handling her medical malpractice case. Ludmila Lozinski filed a complaint on August 7, 2025, in the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco, against Joseph Bravo and his law firm, Bravo Law Offices.

Ludmila Lozinski accuses Joseph Bravo of multiple counts including negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, constructive fraud, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The case stems from an incident where Lozinski suffered injuries due to alleged substandard treatment at City Laser Clinic Inc. In May 2022, she retained Bravo to represent her in a lawsuit against the clinic. Despite initial assurances from Bravo that the case had merit and should seek damages no less than $250,000 for pain and suffering as well as future medical expenses, Lozinski claims that Bravo failed to secure necessary expert witnesses crucial for substantiating her claims in court.

According to the complaint, Lozinski provided all necessary documentation and funds for expert witnesses but faced repeated delays and miscommunications from Bravo. "The amount to sue for should be no less than $250,000," Bravo initially stated after reviewing a physician's evaluation supporting Lozinski's claim. However, as the trial date approached in March 2024, Bravo allegedly began withdrawing support and pressuring Lozinski to settle for an inadequate amount due to his failure to retain experts.

Lozinski further alleges that Bravo breached their attorney-client agreement by not advancing litigation costs as promised and disclosing confidential communications publicly which compromised her ability to find new representation. The complaint states that "Defendant’s negligent failure to secure a judgment or negotiate a fair settlement entitles her to seek recovery of these economic losses."

The plaintiff is seeking general and special damages for emotional distress and loss of opportunity caused by the defendant's actions. Additionally, she seeks economic damages resulting from lost settlement value and unreimbursed expenses related to expert witnesses. Punitive damages are also sought due to what is described as "intentional, fraudulent, and malicious conduct" by Bravo.

The legal proceedings are overseen by the Superior Court with Case ID CGC-25-624176. Ludmila Lozinski represents herself pro se in this matter.
