Apple, Google, others sued over alleged patent infringement

SAN FRANCISCO – A Charlotte, North Carolina man is suing multiple corporations over patent infringement claims.

Albert C. Jones filed a complaint Feb. 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Apple Inc. ASUSTek Computer Inc., ASUS Computer International Inc., Google Inc., LG Electronics USA Inc., LG Electronics MobileComm USA Inc., Motorola Mobility LLC, Pebble Technology Corp., Sony Corp., Sony Mobile Communications AB and Sony Mobile Communications (USA) Inc., citing patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was legally issued the '506 patent titled Personal Entertainment and Communication Device in 2003. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly infringed and continues to infringe the patent by using, manufacturing and sale of products that infringes the '506 patent.

The plaintiff seeks the following: prejudgment and post-judgment interest, attorneys' fees and costs and any other relief the court deems just and proper. He is represented by Mateo Z. Fowler of MZF Law Firm PLLC in Austin, Texas and Adam I. Gafni of Law Offices of Adam I. Gafni in Santa Monica.
