SACRAMENTO – A Miramar, Florida business is suing a Sacramento County company alleging that it unlawfully used the plaintiff's mark.

JL Audio Inc. filed a complaint on Feb. 19 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against Dia Saif, Arden Audio and Does 1-10, citing trademark infringement and unfair competition.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendant was selling products using the JL Audio brand that were not JL Audio products. The suit states that fraudulent bar codes were used on the products. The plaintiff holds Dia Saif, Arden Audio and Does 1-10 responsible because they allegedly offered or sold unauthorized products that bear plaintiff's mark through its business location and online channels.

The plaintiff seeks the following: compensation for all damages, including profits derived from defendant's fraudulent acts, deliver for destruction all the infringing products, award of legal fees and any other relief the court deems just and proper.
